Every morning of the family ski vacation, I dreaded hitting the slopes for one simple reason: I was in constant pain. My feet ached, my head hurt, and I was always too hot or too cold. I was miserable! 😫 I eventually realized that ski boot fit is everything. If you want to stop the foot pain and actually enjoy the mountain, avoid these common skiing mistakes: • 🧦 One pair of socks ONLY: Doubling up actually cuts off circulation and makes feet colder! • 🚫 Smooth it out: Ensure there are zero wrinkles in your socks to avoid blisters. • 👖 Leggings up: Pull your base layers completely above the top of your boot. • 🦶 Don’t overtighten: Your buckles should be snug, but not cutting off your blood flow. • ⚡ Strap placement: Place the booster or power strap under your shell but over the liners. • ❄️ Keep it dry: Pull your powder sleeve down to keep snow out and your socks dry!
