2026 Toyota C-HR Review | Should This Have Been A GR?!

The 2026 Toyota C-HR hits 0-60 in 4.45 seconds. That's quicker than a Volkswagen GTI, quicker than Toyota's own GR Corolla, and it does it with AWD standard, 338 horsepower from twin electric motors, a 74.7 kWh battery, and a sustained 150 kW DC fast charge rate — all starting at $38,450 including destination, before the $3,000-$5,000 off-MSRP discounts that Toyota dealers are routinely cutting right now. This is the bZ C-HR: a shorter, sportier version of the Toyota bZ on the same platform, 7 inches smaller overall but with the same powertrain stuffed inside a lighter, sharper-handling body that pulls an A-minus handling grade and a B+ ride score — all while coming in nearly 700 pounds lighter than a Chevy Equinox EV.
