Can I Finally Fix My 6x6’s Biggest Problem?

In today’s episode of “Professional Heavy Rescue Operator vs. Basic Hydraulics”… I confidently set out to fix the hydraulic system on my 6x6 truck. How hard could it be? It’s just pumps, hoses, fittings, fluid, pressure, physics, and a complete lack of patience. After several hours of highly technical troubleshooting (staring at it, poking it with a wrench, cycling it 47 times, and questioning my life choices), I can proudly say… the hydraulic system remains exactly as broken as when I started. BUT. In a stunning and completely unplanned plot twist, I did manage to fix approximately 37 small annoying problems on my Traileze sliding axle trailer. You know — the stuff I’ve been ignoring for months. • Loose wiring? Fixed. • That weird rattle? Gone. • Sticky latch? Smooth as butter. • Random bolt that “probably matters”? Tightened. So technically… productivity happened. Was it the productivity I intended? No. Was it character-building? Also no.
