FSWeekend 2026 brought the European flight simulation community together at the Aviodrome in Lelystad, Netherlands. Alongside the latest flight simulator hardware, full cockpit builds, VR technology, and major industry exhibitors, this trip also led to an unforgettable real-world Diamond DA40 flight around Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. This is Part Two of my FSWeekend 2026 coverage. Part One focused entirely on WINCTRL, including its upcoming full-size Airbus overhead panel, force-feedback hardware, Boeing yoke prototype, tiller, rudder pedals, and my experience working as part of the WINCTRL booth team. In this video, I explore the wider FSWeekend event and the unique atmosphere inside the Aviodrome. The venue combines a major Dutch aviation museum with an active airport, creating an incredible setting for Europe’s largest flight simulation event. Historic aircraft, modern flight simulator technology, complete cockpit replicas, independent builders, developers, creators, and aviation enthusiasts all share the same space. FSWeekend 2026 featured a wide variety of new flight simulation products and demonstrations. MOZA continued expanding its airline flight simulator ecosystem with a new MCP and EFIS, while also demonstrating its G1000 panel, display yoke, and motion platform technology. VirtualFly celebrated its 15th anniversary and showcased its latest Yoko yoke and G1000 flight simulator setup. I am proud to be a VirtualFly ambassador, and you can use discount code FSTREAM5 when purchasing VirtualFly general aviation hardware. Aerosoft displayed a massive Boeing 737 overhead panel, while Cockpit Simulator brought its full-size motorized Boeing throttle quadrant. Skalarki demonstrated detailed Airbus A320 and A330 simulators, and Motozolo presented an updated version of its compact Airbus cockpit. Dreamscape also demonstrated an extremely lightweight VR headset. The field of view was relatively narrow, but the OLED displays delivered impressive clarity, deep contrast, and excellent cockpit detail. Microsoft and Navigraph were present at the event, alongside many other flight simulation developers, hardware companies, cockpit builders, and community projects. Some of the most interesting displays came from independent DIY builders who had created highly detailed simulators using their own engineering, electronics, and fabrication skills. The real-world flying portion of this trip began directly at Lelystad Airport. I regularly fly Diamond DA40 aircraft in Canada, but flying a DA40 through busy European airspace was a completely different experience. We departed Lelystad and flew toward Rotterdam, with an incredible opportunity along the way. After entering Amsterdam Schiphol airspace, we completed a low approach over Runway 04. Schiphol Tower then offered us two orbits around the control tower at one of Europe’s busiest airports. After continuing toward Rotterdam, we landed safely and later discovered that the DA40 had a flat tire. The Rotterdam Airport fire brigade arrived to assist with the aircraft, creating a very unexpected ending to an already unforgettable flight. A huge thank you to my friend Ruslan, who flies DA40s in Amsterdam, for helping make this experience possible. I also want to sincerely thank the amazing flight instructor Zeyad Fathallah for the opportunity, the local knowledge, and the incredible flight through Dutch airspace. Flying from Lelystad to Rotterdam, completing a low approach at Schiphol, and circling the real Schiphol Tower made this one of the most memorable aviation experiences of my life. I also had a fantastic post-event conversation with Blu and XP72 (on their Blu Xperience Media channel) about FSWeekend 2026, the latest flight simulator hardware, and the future of the flight simulation community. I also have a separate video coming about radiation in aviation. I brought a Radiacode radiation detector to the Aviodrome and discovered an unusual reading near an F-104G Starfighter engine. This video is created for entertainment and general aviation interest. It is not flight instruction. Clear skies, smooth landings, and I’ll see you on the next flight! #FSWeekend2026 #FlightSimulation #DiamondDA40 #SchipholAirport #MicrosoftFlightSimulator Become our Sponsor, Join our Channel as a Monthly Supporter to get access to VIP perks: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPlZ77Jr-sM6gCGgLmjV27w/join Socials: https://www.instagram.com/flightstreamer/ https://www.twitch.tv/flightstreamerlive https://discord.gg/k9EntPrSPf https://www.facebook.com/gaming/flightstreamer
