In this video, I break down everything we know so far about these highly anticipated powerplants, along with the latest information on the 2.7L TurboMax and 3.0L Duramax. While GM has yet to release official horsepower, torque, fuel economy, or detailed engineering specifications, we now know these new V8s are coming to the Silverado 1500 lineup. The return of a 5.7L V8 is exciting enough, but the introduction of a massive 6.6L naturally aspirated V8 in a half-ton truck could be one of the biggest engine stories in years.
