It's Friday afternoon, which means a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio is ready to massage your eardrums with an hour of off-season Oilers talk. On today's podcast, the fellas discussed the Oilers' schedule, Matt Savoie extension talk, another goalie conversation, line combinations, and more. We kicked off the Friday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about some of the recent contracts that were signed around the NHL over the last couple of weeks, and wondered how these deal could impact a potential Matt Savoie extension. While there has yet to be any chatter about an extension, it's hard not to think about what Savoie's next deal looks like. Should the Oilers feel some pressure to get something done, given how the rest of the league is adjusting their pricing? Shifting gears, the guys continued with a look at Colton Dach's new two-year contract, and talked about how it's nice that the Oilers have the cap space to get these things done without having to slide in under the cap by the skin of their teeth. From there, the boys did an Oilers schedule review after the NHL dropped the details yesterday, and broke down what it's going to be like when seven of those games are at 9PM or later. Needless to say, this year's NHL schedule is going to be much different than what we've grown accustomed to. Finally, we wrapped up the Tuesday episode of ONR with another round of betting talk, discussed the Edmonton Elks' hot start in the CFL, worked through another round of Ask the Idiots questions, and finally, Hot and Cold Performers. While this week's episode followed the same general format, the Friday episode of ONR was all over the map.
