Secret to Pain Free Periods #menstrualcycle We know not every woman has the luxury of resting during her period. Life doesn't pause. Work doesn't pause. However, at such times, can we simply become aware of it and, whenever possible, go easy on ourselves? Here is how you can take care of yourself in each phase in simple ways: 🩸 Menstrual phase (your period) — Your body is losing iron so eat warm, iron rich foods like dates, rajma, spinach and beetroot. Skip the intense workouts. A walk or gentle stretching can be enough. And if you aren't able to do any of these, just try to rest whenever you can. 🌱 Follicular phase (after your period ends) — Estrogen is rising which means your brain is sharper and your body has more stamina. A great time to take on more, learn something new or strength train. Eat fresh, light foods like fruits, sprouts and salads to support your rising energy. 🏋🏻‍♀️ Ovulation phase (around the middle of your cycle) — Your strongest, most confident days. Use them fully. Eat antioxidant rich foods like berries, nuts and seeds to support your body at its peak. Feel free to challenge yourself on these days to work on your willpower. 🧘🏻‍♀️ Luteal phase (the two weeks before your period) — Energy turns inward. Eat magnesium rich foods like bananas, cacao ladoo or a warm cacao drink and pumpkin seeds which help reduce cramps and mood dips. Swap intense exercise for yoga, spend time in nature and reflect as much as possible through meditation and journaling. You don't have to follow all of this perfectly. Even one small shift per phase can make a difference over time! Share this with every woman you know. 🤍
