WHAT IS #1 ON OUR BUCKET LIST? IT FINALLY HAPPENED!!! Since the very beginning of The Bucket List Family… there has been ONE dream sitting at the very top of our list. Swimming with ... don't want to spoil it ;) For years, these animals felt like unicorns. We’ve traveled the world and somehow never seen one in the wild. And yet, they’ve always been Garrett’s favorite animal, long before we even knew if this moment would ever be possible Last July (2025), after SIX full days of searching off the coast of Baja, Mexico… something magical happened on day seven. We saw "the footprint." We suited up. And we slipped into the open ocean with Wild KILLER WHALES!!! What made this moment so powerful wasn’t just the orcas themselves. It was: Cali whispering he wanted to start on Dad’s back, but would let go if he felt brave enough. The split second when an orca flew past us so fast it felt unreal. Watching our kids trust us completely in the middle of the ocean. A mom and baby orca circling us, curious and peaceful. AND The overwhelming gratitude we felt! There’s a moment in this video where Garrett surfaces from a dive and just opens his arms to the ocean. When we were editing, we both cried. This wasn’t just a bucket list item being checked off. This was years of preparation, patience, training our kids to swim and snorkel, and learning to respect the ocean. This was a dream we worked for and one we didn’t take for granted for a single second. We have always said that the goal of our travels isn’t just to see beautiful places, it’s to feel something. And this… we felt. ❤️💙💚 Before you watch here's an important note: this experience happened last year, and just two days after we left, regulations changed and children are no longer allowed to participate in this activity in Mexico. We fully support evolving rules that protect both wildlife and people. Safety for our kids and for the animals will always be our top priority. And yes… our family is growing.
