Our Cromwell has had an amazing restoration by C&C Military Services but the starter motor has been struggling. This Friday, Steve pulls it apart, diagnoses the problem, and gives it a complete overhaul. The Cromwell was one of the most important British tanks of WWII, combining speed and reliability in a way that made it the backbone of British armoured divisions from D-Day onwards. Powered by a Rolls-Royce Meteor engine (derived from the legendary Merlin that powered the Spitfire), the Cromwell was one of the fastest Allied tanks of the war. A beautifully restored tank deserves a starter motor that works every time. Steve makes sure of it.
