Adjusting ORIGINAL WWII Steering Brakes Using the Factory Manual. Wespe Restoration

Something really special this Friday. Our Wespe still has its complete original steering brake system, exactly as it left the factory during WWII. Nothing has been replaced. Steve uses an original period manual to adjust the steering brakes properly, following the same procedure a German crew would have used over 80 years ago. It's rare to find any WWII vehicle with a fully intact original braking system, let alone one you can service using the actual wartime documentation. This is a window into how these vehicles were maintained on the front line. This episode sets the stage for next week's Workshop Wednesday. Stay tuned. TIMESTAMPS: 00:00 - Unique living history opportunity 02:05 - Support Brake Adjustment 04:19 - Are the instructions still current? 07:44 - Foot Brake 09:04 - Steering Brake Adjustment 12:13 - Always follow the instructions.... 13:01 - 2nd attempt 15:23 - Locking Tabs 15:36 - Steve's idea of a good time!
