It may point to physical bodies of water, different ocean currents or vast natural forces restrained by an unseen limit. It may also gesture toward two realms of existence, the seen and the unseen, that interact, yet remain distinct by divine design. The barrier itself becomes a sign. Separation prevents chaos. Division prevents domination. Even the balance of power in the world is tied to how waters are distributed and restrained. Then the passage shifts to pearls and coral emerging from the sea. Objects of beauty and value. Yet their origin is humble, even repulsive. Something discarded becomes treasured. Something lifeless becomes ornament. Human beings assign value based on beauty. Entire systems of status, wealth and power are built on what we decide is precious. But not all value originates from us. Some things are valuable because Allah gave them value.
