Is Trump Betraying Iran??

Trump threatened swift and decisive action against the regime in Iran if it didn’t stop openly gunning down anti-government protesters. He then told protesters to keep going because “help was on the way.” But as the days go by, the revolution loses momentum and thousands more are slaughtered as they act on a promise that Trump may not even be keeping. The official death toll sits at 2,500, making these the deadliest protests in the country in decades; however, the real number could actually be as high as anywhere from 12,000 to 20,000. The situation came to even more of a head after Iran captured a 26-year-old protester and promised to execute him, so Trump bolstered his threats, saying if you execute anyone, the U.S. WILL respond. Just as it looked like action was near: The U.S. warned Americans in Iran to leave, Trump was reportedly being briefed on targets to strike… Then, Iran threatened to strike the U.S. first — accusing the U.S. and Israel of orchestrating the protests and hinting it would attack U.S. military bases in Turkey and Qatar. So the U.S. started moving troops, it was unclear if the U.S. was playing defense or offense… Iran closed its airspace, braced to get bombed…Then Trump backs down saying that “the killing in Iran is stopping” and Iran’s even halting executions. While Trump called this “very good” news, he still left open the possibility of U.S. involvement. And if that happens, not even Trump’s own advisers have been able to guarantee him that he could make a definitive strike against the regime.
