In this video, I point out the most common mistakes when growing napa cabbage and share 5 simple methods for high yield, with soil mixing being the most important tip. Specifically, the soil should be loose and well-aerated, mixed with rice husks, well-decomposed cow manure, and a small amount of agricultural lime, then composted for about 7–10 days before planting to eliminate pathogens and promote strong root growth. You can also make your own organic fertilizer at home using kitchen waste combined with microbial fertilizer, which is both cost-effective and safe for vegetables. In addition, water only enough to keep the soil moist, about once every 2–3 days, and avoid overwatering that can cause root rot. Regularly remove weeds, pick pests, and loosen the soil when applying fertilizer to improve aeration and nutrient absorption.
