Taliban Stopped Me So Much… It Went Viral | Ep 18 - Road to Kabul

In this episode, I start my ride from Band-e-Amir National Park towards Kabul… but this turned out to be one of the most unexpected days of my entire Silk Road journey. What began as a simple ride quickly turned into an adventure — I got lost on a completely unknown route that felt like something out of a video game, like I had unlocked a hidden world. Unreal landscapes, silence, and roads that didn’t even feel real. Somewhere along the way, I ended up in a remote village where locals helped guide me back towards the main road to Bamyan. But that was just the beginning. On the way, I randomly met Ameya & Zen again — and this time, even 3 Taliban guys in an old sports car stopped us… not for checking, but for a picture. When I reached Bamyan, I was stopped again at a Taliban checkpoint. But what happened next completely surprised me — when they found out I was from India, I wasn’t even asked for my passport and said, “India and Afghanistan are brothers.” I had shared this moment earlier as a short video — and it ended up going viral across news channels and became my most viewed video ever. From Bamyan, I continued my ride towards Kabul through some of the most stunning landscapes I’ve ever seen — massive mountains, narrow gorges, and endless roads. As I got closer to Kabul, the number of Taliban checkpoints increased. I was stopped multiple times… but just before sunset, I finally made it. Kabul. The destination of this entire “Road to Kabul” series. But the journey doesn’t end here.
