MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE – PAST & PRESENT WITH GUY HENDRIX DYAS AND PLAIDSTALLIONS

Opening in theatres this June 5th , Masters of the Universe brings the beloved 80s franchise He-Man back to life with an extra special attention to the details that made the original line of toys and cartoon so popular. Retrontario recently caught up with Production Designer of the new Masters of the Universe movie Guy Hendrix Dyas, and Toy Historian Plaid Stallions aka Brick Mantooth aka Brian Heiler to talk about some of the origins and things that make the He-Man line so amazing, and the importance of paying respect to it’s colorful legacy. Retrontario’s primary mission is the preservation, research and exhibition of rare videotape recordings (1970s to 1990s) recorded off of any and all Ontario (and surrounding area) TV channels; footage which would likely be lost if not sought out and preserved digitally. We also hope to create an ongoing oral history of this content through comments left below the videos.
