Aquatic hitchhikers and invasive creatures are a real threat to local ecosystems. As a participant in mermaiding, it is vital that you do your part to help prevent the spread of aquatic hitchhikers when swimming in natural bodies of water. This video speaks on the efforts that I make as a professional mermaid performer to prevent the spread of zebra mussels and other invasive creatures so that I cause no harm when being my magical mermaid self.
