The amazing cooking of nomadic women in Little Paris/No Stove needed!/Iranian nomads

Join me in this video to see how shepherd girls in the village prepare local dishes in a nomadic style using sheep manure. Our village is in the Bojnourd region, which is called Little Paris because of the cultural style of its people. In the middle of the plain and the mountains, far from the village, there was no stove and no time for long cooking. It was here that the shepherds invented the local dish Qalif Chal. The shepherds did not have much time to cook. They would pour lamb and local rice, a little onion and tomato, salt, spices and water into a pot. They would also make a dough around it to keep the ash out. And then they would place the pot in a fire pit made mostly of sheep dung. This fire slowly cooked the ingredients for several hours, like a natural oven. Under the soil, the smell of meat and rice gradually turned into a fragrance that spread to the radius of the sheep herd. For the new generation, this dish has become just a documentary and is rarely used. Everything is simple, unadorned and homely. A simple, organic house, simple food without any additives and grandchildren waiting for grandma's cooking. It is cold and quiet here at night and sometimes you hear the sound of wolves greedily devouring sheep. But the guard dogs prevent them from achieving this dream with their howls. Sometimes we have to go to the river at night to fetch water.
