IB CHEM Paper 1b BEFORE Paper 1a

Why I think you should start with Paper 1b! Logically it makes sense to start with Paper 1a… A comes before B after all. But I think we’re underestimating the impact that reading time can have on the exam strategy. I think that using the 5 mins of reading time to really focus on the Paper 1b and trying to understand the information given is the absolute best use of this time. When the start of the exam comes, you then have a choice - either smash out the Paper 1b or if it looks really hard then give your brain a little bit more time to think about it and do the Paper 1a first. I do recommend that whatever you choose to start with, you try to COMPLETE THE WHOLE PAPER rather than switching between papers repeatedly. What do you think?
