THE WORLD'S QUICKEST TYPE 4 POWERED CAR IS THIS 2.6L TYPE 3 !!

This amazing VW Type 3 Fastback built and driven by Patrik Österberg was at the EU Flat Four Shootout at Malmo Raceway in Sweden. It is fitted with a 2.6L Pauter built 689HP Type 4 Engine, and amazingly still has many of the same parts from when it was built over 20 years ago. Its PB for the 1/4 mile is 9.19 at 155mph, and at this event it ran a new PB for the 1/8 mile of 5.71 at 124mph.
