Description
To commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day, please join us for a virtual event with Dr. Alveda King, niece of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and daughter of the late civil rights leader Rev. A.D. King. This year also marks the 40th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr. Day as a federal holiday, established when Ronald Reagan signed the proclamation honoring Dr. King’s legacy. In this timely conversation, Dr. King will reflect on her uncle’s enduring message of faith, freedom, and human dignity–and what it calls Americans to embrace today.
Dr. Alveda C. King is from Atlanta, Georgia, and serves as the Chair of the American Dream at the America First Policy Institute (AFPI). Dr. King is the founder of Speak for Life, fighting for the sanctity and dignity of all life – from the womb to the tomb. She serves as a Fox News contributor and previously hosted the Fox Nation show “Alveda King’s House.” Dr. King is a former college professor, served in the Georgia State House of Representatives, is a former presidential appointee, and a 2021 recipient of the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award.
