China’s latest trade data is out, and it’s not good news for US President Donald Trump who thought recently that hitting Chinese imports to the United States with a new 100% tax would hurt Beijing in any way, shape or form. Last month, China’s overall exports rose at the highest rate in six months, despite Trump’s massive ill-advised tariff war that began back in April. How could that be? Are ordinary Americans just stumping up the extra tax and importing Chinese goods anyway? Ha, Trump wishes! Just as everyone warned him before, China has diversified AWAY from the US market, selling more goods around the world and cutting out US buyers. It’s a nightmare for Trump, who has now lost leverage and forced his own citizens into a spiraling nightmare of increased prices and hideous inflation.
