The Teen Who Swam for Four Hours to Save His Stranded Family | This Morning

What had started as a family day at the beach, ended in a global news story for Austin Appelbee (13), his mother, Joanne, and his two siblings. They had been kayaking and paddleboarding in the south of Western Australia before rough conditions swept them out to sea. Stranded, Joanne made the "hardest decision" she's ever had to make, and sent Austin to get help. Swimming through rough seas for four hours, Austin finally made it to land and managed to get help for his family. Austin has since been hailed a hero for his actions and joins us live from Perth alongside his mum Joanne to share their story.
