Amid the Iran-US conflict, US President Donald Trump stated that the US is ending the war with Iran. Iran's Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has approved the ceasefire proposal. Trump claims that Iran has agreed not to develop nuclear weapons; however, the Iranian military has reacted sharply to this statement. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei has denied Trump's claim. Trump says that the agreement—approved by the Supreme Leader—could be signed by both sides in Europe later this week. Citing this agreement, Trump stated that he cancelled the planned strike on Iran because a deal had been reached.
