Description

We needed to control a Robus ZIIGNA DALI fitting from our DMX lighting desk… and the two simply don’t speak the same language. So we built a translator. At the heart of the system is a Dalcnet DMX-to-DALI converter, but it doesn’t just plug in and work. The interface requires its own 24V DC power supply, and the DALI bus needs powering too — so we added a compact Osram DALI bus PSU to bring the control side to life. With everything powered correctly, it was a case of integrating the wiring and adding 5-pin XLR connectors so it connects straight into our existing studio lighting rig. Different protocols. Different voltages. One working solution. Would you ever need to bridge DMX and DALI on a project?
