Northern's Nationalisation Success?! | A history of Arriva Rail Northn & Northern Trains

Over 6 years ago, in March 2020, Arriva Rail North (the Northern franchise train operator) was nationalised by the government amid poor performance. It was the first time since the early 2000s that a train operator was nationalised purely for performance issues. So, how have Northern faired since the nationalisation, and why were they nationalised in the first place? That's what I'm looking at in today's video.
