Today we are getting behind the wheel of the maxed-out 2026 Nissan Sentra SR to see if it’s actually the best value in the compact segment, or if it’s just wearing a really nice suit. On paper, this car is making a massive statement. Nissan loaded this top-tier SR Privilège model with cabin tech you usually have to buy a luxury badge to get. We are talking about a massive 12.3-inch touchscreen, an 8-speaker Bose premium audio system, and a 360-degree Digital Around View Monitor. Factor in those Zero Gravity seats and the independent multi-link rear suspension soaking up these rough roads, and the comfort level is off the charts for a daily commuter. But we cut through the corporate BS on this channel, and here is the real catch: the fuel economy. The Sentra is running a 2.0L naturally aspirated 4-cylinder pushing just 149 horsepower through a CVT. It doesn't have the punch of its turbocharged competition, yet somehow, it still delivers worse fuel consumption at the pump.
