Vick Almighty is back with one of his most ambitious sneaker projects ever — the Air Jordan 4 x Air Jordan 5 Fire Red Fusion. That’s right — two of the most iconic silhouettes in Jordan Brand history combined into one legendary custom. This project started as a crazy idea that even Vick wasn’t sure could work. With both shoes sharing roots in Tinker Hatfield’s classic designs, it felt like destiny to merge them into something truly unforgettable. Vick began by deconstructing both pairs by removing the netting, prying off the midsoles, and carefully separating the uppers with acetone to preserve as many usable pieces as possible. The workspace quickly turned chaotic as leather, mesh, and midsoles piled up. From there, he dove into prep work, glue removal, and reassembly, blending the 4’s structure with the 5’s aggressive details. Every stitch, cut, and swap matters — from the tongue and midsole swaps to perfectly integrating the Fire Red color way that defined an era of Jordans. Along the way, Vick broke down the tools, techniques, and challenges that go into pulling off a sneaker fusion of this scale. Once the shoes were complete, Vick took the finished pair to local Phoenix shops to get live reactions and the response was unreal.
