Lizards & Dragonflies

We used to go to Thursley Common every year as it was a fantastic site for common lizards and a variety of dragonflies as well as birds and unusual plants. A few years ago they had a huge fire which destroyed much of the habitat and decimated the wildlife. We went back for the first time to have a look at how it was getting on. Although the boardwalk has been rebuilt it is very desolate compared to before the fire and there were far fewer lizards and dragonflies. Still enjoyable but it will take many more years to fully recover.
