If you're a beginner, soreness is often a "good" sign that your training is hitting in the right ways. It's also a "good" sign if you're trying out new exercises. Basically, anytime you do something new and push it pretty hard, you're likely to get sore. That's because your body is sensitive to any new training stimuli and often will elicit DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) in response to it. It's part of the repairing and adaptation process. But after your body gets used to exercise, you'll feel less and less sore and sometimes not sore at all. That does NOT mean, however, that your training is not effective. Your body simply has gotten a bit used to it and not going to send pain signals for something it basically expects. But maybe "chasing" the soreness is not a bad thing. If you haven't seen much progress with your training, then it might be worth considering increasing your intensity a bit and add a little more effort. If you do that, then you might get sore, which would again be a "good" sign. But don't rely on it alone! Always make sure you have other ways to track progress, like your actual strength, volume, and so on. Any information in these videos should not be taken as personal healthcare advice.
