Fuel Efficient and Fun

I think it is safe to say @toyotausa engineers had some fun with the 2026 Toyota Prius. This is easily the best-looking Prius ever, and that is coming from a nameplate that has been the punchline of more than a few Hollywood jokes. Yes, it is stylish now, but the mission remains efficiency. The 2.0L hybrid four-cylinder delivers impressive fuel economy, and it cost me about $8 in gas to get from Dallas to East Texas. The hood is incredibly light, everything feels purpose-built for efficiency, and it shows. Then there are the Easter eggs. “Hybrid Reborn” stamped in hidden places. Prius spelled into the wheel well and even worked into the rear glass heating elements. A panoramic roof that announces itself. A wireless charger that labels itself. Hidden storage that tells you it is hidden. It makes the car feel playful and surprisingly special.
