Description

About a month ago, this was a mostly stock 1978 Ford F150 4x4. Now, after a last-minute thrash before I need to leave for Chicago, Brownie has been transformed into the ultimate classic Ford road trip truck. In this episode, we finish the build at Trail Hunters, get the Vintage Air and RetroSound system wrapped up, install the KC HiLiTES, finish the roll bar and light bar, mount the Warn 8274-S winch, get Brownie on 35s, add the Midas-inspired graphics, and finally reveal the finished truck. The goal was simple: make this old Ford ready to cross America. Brownie now features a 6-inch Skyjacker suspension lift with RedHead steering upgrades, 15x12 Mickey Thompson Canyon wheels wrapped in 35x12.50R15 Baja Legend MTZs, an Engineered Vintage GOAT stainless front bumper, Warn Industries 8274-S winch with a Factor 55 Ultrahook, KC HiLiTES 8-inch SlimLites in the bumper, five 6-inch SlimLites up top, chase lights, C-Series lighting, Dapper Lighting OE7 headlights, custom stained glass taillights and marker lights by Lindsey Wonder, graphics by Retro Stripe Co, a 60+ gallon fuel cell by Soulless Innovations, Vintage Air Gen 5 SureFit system, RetroSound Manufacturing stereo system, and a complete AMSOIL fluid change. America is turning 250. Route 66 is turning 100. And Brownie is about to drive across the country for the Mother Road Run. Huge thank you to everyone who helped make this happen: PEAK AMSOIL Auto Metal Direct RetroSound Manufacturing Belltech Vintage Air KC HiLiTES Engineered Vintage Warn Industries Dapper Lighting Factor 55 Mickey Thompson Skyjacker Suspension Soulless Innovations Retro Stripe Co Lindsey Wonder Trail Hunters Automotive Power Solutions Learn more about the Mother Road Run: https://themotherroadrun.com Let me know in the comments: Would you road trip Brownie across Route 66?
