Since 2020, most of the electricity for all BMW Group plants has been sourced from renewable energies – reused or recycled across our plants. In fact, we already use up to 50% secondary aluminum, 25% secondary steel, and 20% recycled thermoplastics in key components of our vehicles. And once on the road, BMW electric vehicles produce zero local emissions and emit far less CO₂ over time than gas-powered vehicles.
