Description
Every once in a while, a super special car comes in. It doesn't necessarily have to be super rare, but it has to tick all the boxes.
This week, we have Peter Klutt taking a look at an ultra special 1967 Chevrolet Corvette L71 Convertible. This example offered here for sale is a fully documented, multiple award winning 1967 Corvette Convertible complete with its numbers matching L71 427ci/435hp engine and Muncie M21 four speed manual transmission. Sold new at Baher Chevrolet in Manhattan Beach, California which is shown on the Protect-O-Plate and other dealer documentation. Finished in its factory correct paint color of Goodwood Green with white “Stinger” hood and black vinyl interior, this stunning 1967 Corvette Roadster showcases all options one would desire in a mid year. As a touch of performance and style, the car has been optioned with side mount exhaust and a set of original Kelsey Hayes bolt on wheels. Completing the list of options are the previously mentioned power windows, tinted glass, AM/FM radio and auxiliary hard top.
Having been frame-off restored by marque specialist Kevin Mackay, this example has been judged at the highest level winning the Triple Crown award which includes Bloomington Gold Certified, Multiple NCRS Top Flight Awards Including Chapter & National and the Gold Spinner Award Vettefest Nationals. Since completion, it has only been trailered to shows accumulating on 53 miles since the restoration was finished.
Important with any Corvette of this caliber, this car comes documented with Tank Sticker, Protect-O-Plate, original warranty paperwork, owners manual, awards, judging sheets and much more. Also accompanied by a letter from Kevin Mackay verifying the engine, trim tag and tank sticker to be the “factory originals” to the car.
With its multiple award wins, matching numbers L71, incredible options and documentation this 1967 Corvette L71 Roadster is the epitome of a blue-chip collector car. Rarely do examples come available that tick this many boxes!
