Description
Whilst the young men of McKinn county, Tennessee had been away fighting in World War II, things back home had become more than a little corrupt.
Under the questionable leadership of Paul Cantrell and Pat Mansfield, returning veterans were repeatedly targeted by law enforcement and fined for even the most minor misdemeanour. The aim? To relieve them of their hard-earned mustering-out pay, and subject them to a beating in the process.
However, these were not ordinary men. The veterans had witnessed the worst excesses of human nature and somehow managed to come out the other side alive.
As the Cantrell-Mansfield machine was about to discover, they were not about to be bullied into submission by a couple of seriously dodgy politicians.
