During round 2 it was becoming obvious that Tommy Morrison was unable to land any decent punches on Lewis, and Morrison's defence couldn't keep Lewis from landing hard jabs and uppercuts. Morrison hit the canvas in round 2, though got up before the count. Morrison again hit the canvas in Rounds 3 and 4 which followed the same pattern with Lewis blocking Morrison's best punches whilst pounding Morrison time and again with powerful jabs, uppercuts and left crosses. Morrison's right eye was badly swollen and almost closed shut. Morrison was fighting with one eye, and Lewis wasted no time Targeting that right eye. Rounds 5 and 6 were even worse for Tommy Morrison, as he was knocked down another 2 times, referee Mills Lane was close to stopping the fight as Morrison was fighting with one eye and could not do anything to defend himself. After the fourth knockdown, About half way through round 6 Mills Lane walked over to Tommy Morrison took a good look at his damaged eye, then waved his hands, bringing an end to the fight. Lennox Lewis left no questions after giving Tommy Morrison a masterclass in Boxing. Lewis showed why he is considered one of the best if not the best Heavyweight boxer in boxing's modern era.
