An Alzheimer's owner kept forgetting that he fed the cat. And now the cat weighs 36 lbs!

When Bazooka arrived at the shelter after his owner died, the staff were shocked. The cat was huge. He weighed 36 pounds! Just to get him there took 2 workers and an extra large cage. Although the cat looked gorgeous as he was, all that weight is bad for the cat's health. Increased stress on the heart and joints can easily lead to an early death! To help him start a new, healthy life, the shelter decided to find him the perfect owner. And they changed his name to King Augustus, as his old name didn't suit him very well. The shelter posted cat's photos on FB and the response was incredible! Dozens of people wanted to adopt this adorable cat.
