Description

Please tell me I’m not the only one who made this mistake 🙋‍♀️ When Winnie was young, we always used tennis balls with her. Little did I know, that tennis ball fuzz was grinding her teeth down like sandpaper. The wear was so gradual that it was hard to initially notice. But when her canines developed little red dots on them (near-pulp exposure from rapid wear), I booked in with a dental specialist who helped educate me on blunting in dogs. I got home and threw out all our tennis balls. It’s important to remember that any toy or object can cause blunting when excessively chewed on, and that some wear over your dogs life is natural. But if it’s anything like this, it’s worth evaluating your dogs lifestyle and making changes. Especially for a dog that loves to chew on their toys, it’s a good idea to look into more dental safe options for them, or allow it to occur in moderation. If you want to switch to softer toys for your dog’s teeth, check out our own range of @apawlopets foam toys (our small business). These are linked in our bio, and you can save with code WINNIE10 ☺️ #dogtoys #tennisballsfordogs #toothwear #dentalsafedogtoys #blunting
