Now it is favored by many foreigners and Spaniards alike to set up home. Los Boliches has indeed retained much of its original charm unlike some other parts of Fuengirola where it is dominated by high apartment blocks. The site of archaeological remains of a salting factory is a reminder of the area's rich historical past. The Phoenicians and then the Romans have lefts plenty of evidence of their settlements and lifestyle. Los Boliches boasts some of the finest beaches in Fuengirola. Many holidaymakers come all-year round to enjoy this popular beach resort area. The most lasting heritage in Los Boliches is the tradition of the fishing folks who have lived there through the generations.
