24 Days of Prayer | Day 5

Today we thank God for the blessing of living in a nation with significant freedoms, including the freedom to live out our faith. Yet we recognise the growing cultural pressure on religious freedom, especially through attempts to weaken conscientious objection in healthcare. Lord, we pray for strength, courage and wisdom for frontline workers who are being pushed to act against their conscience. Hold them firm and protect their right to live according to the convictions you have written on their hearts. We ask for a shift away from policies that target conscientious objection and for legislators to uphold true freedom of faith. We pray your blessing over every worker facing these pressures and ask for your peace over them as we enter the Christmas season.
