Downing Street prepares as Andy Burnham joins Wes Streeting in leadership battle to replace PM

Labour is in crisis as MPs demand the Prime Minister resign and Britons could be left footing the bill for a mult-million pound by-election so Andy Burnham can try and come back to parliament. It comes after a week of vicious infighting by the Labour Party after they faced an election bloodbath last week. Yesterday the health secretary Wes Streeting resigned as demanded the Prime Minister step aside. Soon after a Labour MP announced they would be forced to hold a by-election in their seat to pave a path for the Mayor of Manchester to head to Westminster and throw down the gauntlet to Sir Keir.
