Description
ONION SAUCE
- 2 tbsp neutral oil or butter
- 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
- 2/3 cup water
- 6 tbsp ketchup
- 2 tsp spicy brown mustard
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 2 tsp vinegar (white or apple cider)
- 1/4 tsp salt
“DIRTY WATER”
- 1 can beef broth (about 14 oz)
- Water (refill the can and pour in until hotdogs will be submerged)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 bay leaf
- A few dashes of Worcestershire
TO BUILD EACH DOG
- 1 hotdog bun (steamed over the broth)
- 1 jumbo Nathan's hot dogs (this is what I used but you can use whichever hotdog you like)
- onion sauce on top
- Spicy brown mustard
- Sauerkraut (squeezed of excess liquid)
