The US “won’t be there to help you anymore,” he added, the latest sign of his willingness to withdraw from the conflict sooner rather than later. His comments came after Iran attacked the Al-Salmi, a large Kuwaiti crude carrier off the coast of Dubai, one of the most significant assaults on shipping since the US and Israel began bombarding the Islamic Republic more than a month ago. Tehran also fired missiles at the United Arab Emirates, including Dubai, as well as Saudi Arabia and Iraq. The US-Israeli alliance continued to strike Iran, with little sign of an imminent breakthrough in diplomatic efforts to end the conflict.
