Australia lodges complaints with China following ‘unsafe’ navy helicopter encounter

The Australian government has lodged complaints with China following an encounter between two navy helicopters in the Yellow Sea. One of those aircraft was the Australian Seahawk launched from HMAS Toowoomba on Wednesday as part of efforts to enforce UN sanctions on North Korea. According to the Defence Department, it had to take evasive action after being approached by a People's Liberation Army Navy helicopter. The ADF asserts the manoeuvre was unsafe and unprofessional.
