Soft, fluffy pita bread made with wholesome wheat atta - perfect for wraps, dips, and sandwiches 🌾✨ No maida, no preservatives, just a healthier homemade pita you’ll love 🫓💛 INGREDIENTS To Activate Yeast: - 1/2 Cup (120ml) Warm Water - 1 Tsp (4g) Sugar - 1 & 1/2 Tsp (4g) Active Dry Yeast Dough: - 2 Cup (240g) Whole Wheat Flour/Gehun ka Atta - Activated Yeast Mix - 1/2 Tsp (3g) Salt - 1 Tbsp (15ml) Oil - 1/2 Cup + 2 Tbsp (170ml) Water METHOD - Mix warm water and sugar until sugar is dissolved. Add dry yeast and mix well. Cover and set aside for 10-15 minutes for activation. - ⁠Take whole wheat flour in a large bowl, add yeast, oil, salt and water. Mix well and knead for 10-15 minutes manually or for 5-7 minutes using a stand mixer or hand beater with dough hook attachment. - ⁠Add oil and bring the dough together. Cover and let it proof until it doubles in size. May take 1-2 hours depending on the weather. - ⁠Deflate the dough and divide into 8 equal portions. - ⁠Using flour, roll each dough ball into paratha like thick sheets. - ⁠Cook on tawa like a phulka or bake in an oven. - ⁠Preheat oven at 230°C for 10 minutes and bake the pita bread in batches for 6-7 minutes. - ⁠Cut pita bread and add fillings as per your liking and enjoy!
