Opening of the Central Luzon Link Expressway (CLLEX) Contract Package 4 03/31/2026

Aliaga and Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija March 31, 2026 President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. joined the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the Department of Transportation (DOTr) in opening the Central Luzon Link Expressway (CLLEX) Contract Package 4, located in Aliaga and Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija, on March 31, 2026. The CLLEX Phase 1 is a Php10 billion DPWH project funded through official development assistance (ODA) from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Contract Package 4 connects the Tarlac–Pangasinan–La Union Expressway (TPLEX) to Cabanatuan City, reducing travel time from as long as 1 hour and 30 minutes to just 20 minutes, enhancing mobility for thousands of motorists. In a media statement, the President highlighted the project’s importance in easing travel and lowering fuel consumption amid rising fuel prices, while also supporting the faster movement of goods from Nueva Ecija, the country’s rice granary, to help stabilize the prices of rice and other essential goods. He also announced that this section of CLLEX will stay toll-free until December 2026, benefiting more than 11,500 daily motorists.
