Description

‘Forever chemicals’ are found in masses of products, from non-stick pans to clothing. As their nickname suggests, these per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are hard to get rid of. US company Allonnia provides a solution to remove PFAS from water using air. As bubbles rise, they separate out more than 99.99% of PFAS molecules. PFAS destruction technologies have been selected as one of the World Economic Forum’s Top 10 Emerging Technologies of 2026. The World Economic Forum is the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation. It provides a global, impartial and not-for-profit platform for meaningful connection between stakeholders to establish trust, and build initiatives for cooperation and progress.
