Abu Obeida: 'Neutrality no longer an option’

Abu Obeida, Hamas' military spokesperson, delivered a strong speech, specifically addressing mediating countries, while Gaza is still under Israeli bombings. He emphasised the ceasefire's fragility in light of the continued Israeli aggression and paid tribute to the recently slain military commanders, Ezzideen Alhaddad and Mohamed Oudeh, who were assassinated with their families. This was the third speech the current spokesperson has delivered, since the "Abu Obeida" position was newly appointed, following the Israeli killing of the former spokesperson last August. This speech was marked by a condemning tone, seeking accountability from fellow Muslim nations, accused of not having intervened to alleviate Palestinian plight. Since the US-brokered ceasefire in October, Israel has killed over 950 Palestinians in Gaza, as Israeli strikes this week targeted residential buildings and killed a dozen people, while most of the Strip's population is still displaced.
