Engineering teams restored the damaged section by around 6:30 a.m., allowing normal services to resume. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has recovered the stolen wire from a nearby pit, where it had allegedly been hidden before being transported. An investigation is now underway to identify and arrest those responsible. Officials say the theft is particularly alarming because it targeted high-voltage railway equipment carrying 25,000 volts, which is essential for electric train operations. This is not the first such incident in Bihar. Similar thefts involving railway signalling cables and overhead electric wires have disrupted train services in recent years, prompting renewed concerns over the protection of critical railway assets.
