The Diagnosis We Never Saw Coming

Join us for Prim's latest recheck appointment as we continue investigating her lingering lameness. We begin with an in-hand lameness assessment, watching Prim walk and jog to evaluate how she's moving and to determine where the discomfort may be coming from. Based on those findings, our veterinarian performs a nerve block to help localize the source of the pain. With the area narrowed down, we move on to radiographs (X-rays) to get a closer look at what's happening inside the hoof. What we found was not what we were expecting: a coffin bone fracture.
