The RAAF F-111’s performance around Wanaka in 2006 is captured here from a unique helicopter vantage point — the view of its wing-sweep, high speed and mountain setting gives aviation enthusiasts a rare look at a striking aircraft flying in spectacular terrain. Flown by Sqn Ldr Craig Whiting, and Navigator Flt Lt Susan Youngman, this aircraft and its crew put on a superb display at the Warbirds Over Wanaka 2006 airshow.
