Baby Orangutan Maria Climbing Ends With a Tumble

Sweet little baby Orangutan Maria is happily practicing her climbing on the netting and is also enjoying a little tumbling. Mom Leia is close by, keeping watch of her baby daughter. Baby Maria shows great strength and ability, getting better at swinging dangling and climbing all the time, and of course being very cute to watch. The current animal population have had valuable experience with babies and have observed relatives caring for young, using this learning and experience to enable them to rear their own offspring Birth of critically endangered orangutan at Chester Zoo Bornean Orangutans have been considered critically endangered since 2016 with an only an estimated 100,000 left in the wild.
